10 Helpful Party Planning Tips ~ 1. Tie a bouquet of balloons on your mail box, front porch or apartment door so it's easy for your guests to find your party. (It will help David as well!) Have the birthday child or guest of honor select the colors! 2. Start the magic show 15 to 30 minutes later than your party start time. This will give your guests who are running late for the party time to arrive. Help make sure your guests don't miss your special show! 3. Create a place on the floor for the children to sit and enjoy the show. Most living or family rooms due quite well as David needs as little as a 3 x 5 foot space to perform. Having the children sit together on the floor makes it easier for them to focus as an audience and be part of the show. 4. In most party packages, after the magic show is over, the balloon sculpture begins. If you have elected to rent a party location and time is short David can make balloons for the children while you continue your party activities. The birthday cake, food, presents, or pinata can all coincide with balloon twisting if time is short. 5. David does work outside but please be aware of the temperature. It is best to have the magic show in a cool place as the magic show is a high energy performance. A cool space is always good for your guests and your performer. His bunny will appreciate it also! 6. If planning an outdoor party be sure to have a backup performance location in case of inclement weather. Please note dry and level ground is required for the show and will also be appreciated by your guests. 7. The magic show encourages childrens participation. Please remember that David is an entertainer and does not take on a disiplinary role. An adult must be present at all times during the performance should a guest require special attention. Most of the time, David just needs you to wrestle a wandering 2 year old that sneaks behind the curtain! 8. It is best to serve food and drink after the magic show when all of the children can sit around a table. This not only will save your floor and carpet from spills but will also save David's magic silks from being napkins! 9. The production of the bunny rabbit in the show is always a huge surprise for the children. Please make sure you keep the bunny a secret! 10. Remember that balloons can be choking hazards. If your child is too young to have a conversation about choking then they are usually too young for a balloon. David will only give balloons to the parents of young children when requested and when under the parents supervision. Broken or popped balloons should always be picked up immediately to prevent accidents.
